    Taekwondo is the ancient art of unarmed combat passed down for many centuries from Master to devoted student. Taekwondo originated in Korea and became an Olympic medal sport in 2000.TAE means to smash or kick with the foot. KWON means to punch or attack with the hand. DO means the art or the way. Literally translated Taekwondo means the art of hand and foot fighting. Taekwondo classes are offered for adults and children ages 5 and up and for men and women. Taekwondo can help your physical strength, coordination, flexibility and strength. As you progress in Taekwondo you will see the added benefit of stress relief, self-confidence and self-control. We practice the WTF style of Taekwondo and we are affiliated with USA Taekwondo and we study the Taegeuk Poomse.

    Studying the Martial Arts gives a remarkable spirit to its practitioners. A student of the Martial Arts is a more confident type of individual, he not only has physical strength but also a strong mental discipline. For a Martial Art student their entire body is their weapon. He can defend against all aggressors with his hands, fists, elbows, feet, or any other part of his body, however his code forbids unfair assaults or unnecessary use of force, a mental attitude of modesty is also achieved. Such mental and physical confidence is beneficial to the life of the individual, his family, neighbors, and nation.
